Presley, I want you to know that as I type this note to you, even before your
birth, I have been praying for you for years. I have prayed that you will be a
child of the Living God. I pray that you will always be protected. I pray that
you will love, laugh and live with abandon. I pray that you will be a warrior
for what's right in this world we live in. I pray that you will be a princess
for a knight one day. (I also pray your daddy doesn't harm him first) Please
pray for me as you grow. Pray that I will be the best earthly father I can be.
That I will be patient and understanding, kind yet firm, and that I will show
you what a Godly, Christian man and husband should be. I will fail many times.
I will disappoint you often. But even in those difficult times, please remember
that your hope is not in the people of this world. It lies in our Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ. Life is hard. It isn't always fair. Trust Him with
everything in your life, follow His will. Do your best to stay on compass with
His plan.
You have two wonderful big brothers that will shelter and protect you.
Allow them to do so. They are looking out for your best interest. They may
irritate you, but they will love you like no-one else will. Be their
cheerleader. Encourage them. Strengthen them. Love them.
You are also blessed with the best mother to ever walk this earth. She has prayed for you since she was old enough to pray. She will be your biggest supporter as you age. Many
"friends" will come and go, but your mother will always be by your side. She
will celebrate with you and cry with you. She has been an unconditional support
for me, and I know she will be the same for you if you allow her.
God has also blessed you with wonderful grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We are all anxiously awaiting your beautiful, smiling face and can't
wait to meet our little princess. I love you more than life and will always be
there for my sweetheart.
Love,
Dad
